The Indianapolis Bonsai Club was founded in 1968 to promote interest in and appreciation of Bonsai. Our members are a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of skills and expertise.
Club meetings are the first Wednesday of every month and are held at the Garfield Park Conservatory on the near south side of Indianapolis. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Annual dues are $25. For more information, complete and submit the "contact us" form.
Indiana State Fair Canceled!
We are said to say this, but with the fair canceled, there will be no Indiana State Fair Bonsai Show & Sale this year. This is normally our largest event of the season. We'll miss not being there, but we look forward to being back in 2021.
The July 1 Meeting is on! After several months of meetings canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are finally able to meet again. The meeting will be at the usual 7pm start time, but we'll be meeting at the picnic shelters several blocks past the Conservatory. Go past the Conservatory and continue along Conservatory Drive. The Shelters will be on your left side. If you get to Pleasant Run Parkway, you've gone too far. We will have a members only buy, sell & swap meet followed by a tropical bonsai workshop. So, bring your extra trees, tools and pots to the next meeting. You can sell them....or you can buy more stuff! Maybe you can even do a little of both!
The tropical workshop will feature some great trees at a great price. The cost of this members only workshop is only $50, and the trees you'll be getting are HUGE! Don't pass up this great value. We have Green Island Ficus, Nia Buxifolia, Brazilian Rain Tree and Dwarf African Jade trees available for this workshop. If you aren't already a member, you can join that night and participate. We look forward to seeing you there.
