February 7th Meeting- Jitta Workshop
Our February 7th meeting will feature Jitta workshop. A "Jitta" is a thin slab of wood that is finished and used as a stand for a small bonsai, accent plant or viewing stone. The cost of this workshop is only $5. You must be a member to participate in the workshop. You will recieve a thin slice of burl. We will sand them and learn how to finish them for completing your jitta. Special thanks goes out to IBC member, Clay Kowalsky, for supplying the club with the burl slices and his professional knowledge on wood finishing techniques.
Club meetings are the first Wednesday of every month and are held at the Garfield Park Conservatory on the near south side of Indianapolis. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Annual dues are $25. For more information, complete and submit the "contact us" form.
