Indianapolis Bonsai Club


The Indianapolis Bonsai Club was founded in 1968 to promote interest in and appreciation of Bonsai. Our members are a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of skills and expertise.

Club meetings are the first Wednesday of every month and are held at the Garfield Park Conservatory on the near south side of Indianapolis. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Annual dues are $25. For more information, complete and submit the "contact us" form. 

State Fair Time!

The next IBC meeting is Wednesday, August 2nd, from 7pm - 9pm.  The meeting will feature a demonstration by this year's state fair judge, Danny Coffey.  Danny apprenticed at Aichien in Nagoya, Japan.  Danny assists maintaining the US national bonsai collection in Washington DC.  He also writes a blog called 'Tree The People.'

The bonsai show at the Indiana State Fair will run from Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 13th.  Any resident of Indiana can show a tree at this show. Session 1 (August 4-9) will be judged.  This year's judge is Danny Coffey. Session 2 (August 9-13) is exhibition only.  You can get entry forms and state fair rules by clicking on the links below.  You will need an entry form filled out for each display entry!
